Job DescriptionUnder the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist (pursuant to the laws of the state), the Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) assists in patient evaluation, treatment planning and implementation. The COTA provides goal directed, activity oriented treatment to promote optimum independence in self-care, functional mobility and daily life tasks. ensures continuation of performance through effective education of the patient, family or support system.
