Nursing Informatics Specialist
Responsibilities Under the general supervision of the Associate Chief Nurse, Nursing Informatics and Measurement and in collaboration with the CNO, Associate Chief Nurse's CIO, IT, Finance, Supply Chain Director, and Nursing Leadership, practices within the Lahey Clinic Professional Practice Model, MA Nurse Practice Act, ANA Standards of Practice and Code of Ethics and demonstrates Lahey Clinic's core values that reflect its Mission. The Nursing Informatics Specialist will promote excellence in nursing practice by providing expert consultation, coordination and leadership of clinical informatics processes and integration of those processes.
Qualifications
Education: Requires knowledge of nursing theory and practice acquired through completion of Board of Registration approved nursing education program located within the United States or as certified by the Commission of Graduates of Foreign Nursing Schools (CGFNS) in order to be eligible for licensure as a Registered Nurse.
Bachelors degree required; Masters .degree required.
Licensure, Certification, Registration: Current license to practice professional nursing from the Massachusetts Board of Registration and Certification in Nursing or Health Informatics.
Skills, Knowledge & Abilities: Previous experience coordinating and implementing electronic documentation system. Proven abilities to interact effectively with all memebers of the healthcare team and implement change.
Experience: A minimum of five years of nursing experience required; two years of Nursing Informatics experience.
