Nursing Department Manager
LOCATION - Larkspur, CO Campus
Griffith Centers for Children’s Larkspur program is located on a 100-acre rural campus in a mountain setting. Our programs utilize an experiential approach along with traditional forms of treatment for emotionally troubled boys. The experiential approach to treatment includes use of Ropes Course, Wilderness Trips, and Equine Therapy.
Schedule: This is a day time position with a Monday to Friday work schedule.
Function: The Nursing Manager is responsible for the overall management of the nursing department and the coordination of the provision of medical care to our residents.
Responsibilities: Primary duties include assessing residents for injuries and illnesses, scheduling needed appointments, ordering and packing of medication, tracking medication distribution, facilitating visits with the Center Psychiatrist, coordinating appointments for the Center’s Nurse Practitioner, coordinating follow-up care with community providers and associated administrative duties.
Qualifications: Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing with a Colorado license as a Registered Nurse. Requires at least 2-3 years nursing experience; nursing management experience is a plus.
Salary: Salary range is $49,000 to $60,000 depending on qualifications and experience. Benefits include medical, dental, 403(b), and more.
