Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant - Hospitalist

Job Description Imagine yourself working with this team…We are currently seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to work in our highly collaborative and leading edge environment. This position will work out of Columbia St. Marys-Ozaukee and then help to start up the hospitalist prgram at Aurora Grafton Hospital.

Due to our commitment to shared governance and shared decision-making, our Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants work alongside physicians and are intimately involved with problem solving and decision-making. They perform history and physical examinations on new and return patients. Establish presumptive diagnosis, establish the general work-up of the patient by ordering appropriate laboratory studies and are responsible for the management of the patient's problems following diagnosis.Imagine yourself…Providing health care services to individuals and their families, emphasizing health promotion and disease prevention as well as the diagnosis and management of acute and chronic problems.Working autonomously as well as in collaboration with a variety of individuals to diagnose and manage clients' health care problems.Serving as a health care resource, interdisciplinary consultant, and patient advocate.

General Qualifications
Master of Science degree in Nursing with certification by appropriate governing body and current Wisconsin Registered Nurse licensure or completion of a Physician Assistant program approved by the American Medical Association required.Must have previous clinical experience in assigned specialty.Ability to work as a member of a health care team.Excellent oral and written communication skills required.Proven organizational skills and ability to prioritize effectively.

Desired Qualifications
Minimum two years of previous experience as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant preferred.
