Nurse Practitioner - Cancer Center

We are looking for an experienced Nurse Practitioner to work on our Cancer Center Team!

This is a Monday - Friday Day Shift position.

With newly expanded services, including a new outpatient surgery center, Einstein Center One offers easy access to primary care and specialty doctors for people living in Northeast Philadelphia and Lower Bucks and Montgomery Counties. Available outpatient surgery services include breast surgery; ear, nose and throat; gastroenterology; general surgery; gynecology; ophthalmology; orthopedics; pain management; and urology. Einstein Center One offers free parking and is conveniently located along main public transportation routes. Center One is located at 9880 Bustleton Ave., Philadelphia, PA 19115.

In this role, you will assume immediate responsibility for:

Providing quality, patient-centered care to patients in an oncology/hematology out-patient setting, in collaboration with and under the direction of a staff physician Managing the care of outpatients receiving cancer chemotherapy, including assessment of problems, symptom management and coordination of other health care problems Taking complete history and physical, ordering diagnostic and therapeutic tests/studies, prescribing medications and supplies according to the pharmacy formulary and policies, writing chemotherapy orders, teaching patients and families about chemotherapy treatment plans and obtaining consents, and evaluating response to treatment and initiating consults with other specialties Evaluating pre-chemotherapy lab work, performing medication reconciliation, ordering non-chemotherapy infusions, transfusions and hydration and managing infusion reactions

If you possess the following qualifications, please apply immediately:

Masters Degree in Nursing required, graduated from a nurse practitioner program, with specialty in oncology/hematology preferred Two years hematology/oncology practice experience as a nurse practitioner preferred Pennsylvania nursing license required Certification as Nurse Practitioner from American Nurses Credentialing Center, or American Academy of Nurse Practitioners
