Nurse Manager Interventional Radiology

Responsibilities Under general direction of the Associate Chief Nurse and within the Lahey Clinic Professional Practice Model, MA Nurse Practice Act and ANA Standards of Practice and Code of Ethics, manages and supervises all nursing staff in assigned clinical patient care unit to provide quality patient care.  Areas of responsibility include clinical practice, system coordination, quality improvement, human resource management, unit budget, professional growth and self-improvement, and other professional duties.

 

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.  Current or successfully completed matriculation in a BSN program offered by an accredited school of nursing.

Licensure, Certification, Registration: Current licensure to practice professional nursing in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

Life Support Certification: BCLS - ACLS

Skills, Knowledge & Abilities: In the absence of any of these skills, demonstrates the ability to be thoroughly trained to meet organizational standards.
Clinical Skills:  Knowledge of healthcare management principles acquired through current or successfully completed matriculation in an MSN program, or related Masters-level healthcare studies program, at an accredited college or university.
Clinical competency in area of nursing practice. New Manager Orientation.


Technical Skills:  Basic computer skills.
Experience: A minimum of five years of accumulated in-patient nursing experience and two years leadership experience.
Position requires recent experience in procedural nursing, 2 yr. critical care experience.
