We currently have the following opportunity available at Our Lady of Lourdes Medical Center, Camden, NJ:Nurse Manager - 5W
The Nurse Manager (NM) is responsible for planning, organizing, coordinating, implementing and evaluating the management, administrative operations and clinical practice activities within one or more areas on a twenty-four hour basis. A priority of this position is for the NM to be the Chief Retention Officer for the area and utilize principles of service excellence to achieve goals for staff development, staff satisfaction and staff retention. The NM is also responsible for following the Values in Practice nine principles of service excellence for leadership and educating staff on the standards of service excellence. Provides for the delivery of care that is coordinated to provide a seamless, integrated system of care that is high quality, customer focused, and cost effective. The NM is committed to creating a work environment that fosters pride, teamwork and provides continuous learning to advance staff growth. The NM must have knowledge of specialty services and related nursing standards and be aware of the changing health care environment locally and nationwide. The NM must possess outstanding verbal and written communication skills and have an understanding and acceptance of Franciscan Philosophy, Values in Practice, and Standards of Service Excellence.
BSN (or a plan for completion), 5-8 years of related nursing experience, current NJ RN license, CPR for Health Care Providers, and Membership in a professional organization required; MSN preferred.
