Nurse Auditor - Minnesota

Nurse Auditor - Minnesota CGI, an international IT and managed services organization, has opened a career track opportunity for a Nurse Auditor. This position will be based out of the auditor's home office in Minnesota, but will report to the HQ office in Cleveland, OH. Travel throughout the State of Minnesota will be required (approximately 50%). Accordingly, this individual will be responsible for reviewing medical records to determine whether documentation substantiates the medical necessity, quality of care, utilization and coding (ICD-9-CM/DRG/RUGS) of the claims submitted for reimbursement. Subsequently, the auditor will record the results using CGI's Customized Auditing System (CAS) and/or refer cases to physician reviewers. To qualify, candidates must be an RN and have at least five years of experience, as well as expertise in Medical Necessity, Quality of Care, SNF Utilization Group (RUGS) codes and Utilization Review; knowledge of ICD-9-CM inpatient coding and a combination RHIA, RHIT, CCS, RAC-CT credentials.
