Nurse Auditor

Our client, the leader in hospital billing auditing seeks an RN to be an independent auditor to monitor assignments and to schedule and perform hospital bill audits.  The Nurse Auditor will review records within each client's specification and ensure that charges are generated in the most cost effective manner for the client, and identify issues of quality of care, length of stay and appropriateness of care and refer them to the insurance payer. Key responsibilities and duties Schedule all new cases within a week of receiving assignment  Maintain current status of claims  Maintain communication with audit managers regarding problems with scheduling,  access issues, and contract issues  Confirm bill amount at time of scheduling and 5 days prior to audit  Assures quality of prepped bill for accuracy, prior to audit, reviews prep detail for audit savings, reviews medical record and other hospital documents to verify that orders and documentation are present to justify charges billed to payer. Review the medical records within each client's specification and ensures that charges are generated in the most cost-effective way for the client, identifies issues of quality of care, length of stay, and appropriateness of care and initiates the payer referral for all issues, performs quality check on all completed work for thoroughness and accuracy Electronically submits completed work to the office in a timely manner  Maintain caseload of $2.5M-$3M monthly MRINetwork, one of the world's largest search and recruitment organizations, has over 1,000 offices in more than 35 countries.
