Job Description Aurora Health Care was created around the idea that there is a better way to provide health care. We are currently seeking a dedicated Neurodiagnostic Technician who is enthusiastic about providing exceptional service. The ideal individual will have outstanding clinical and customer service skills. The Neurodiagnostic Technician duties include:Performing and maintaining competency in electroencephalograms by applying suitable electrodes on predetermined positions on the patient's head, checking the performance of the electrodes, calibrating and adjusting the test apparatus and selecting both predetermined and special electrode combinations dependent on the individual case under study.Preparing the patient for exam as well as performing the exams and procedures. Gathering a comprehensive patient history, appropriate information from patient, patient records and family members to include neurological symptomatology and medications. Explains test procedures to patient and family members.Communicating effectively with patient, family or significant others and providing the necessary emotional support. Following through with necessary lab/x-ray requests, new appointment times and referrals to other areas and services.Performing routine care, cleaning and calibration of equipment in accordance with manufacturer recommendations.

General Qualifications
Current registration as an Electroencephalographic Technologist granted by the American Board of Registration of Electroencephalographic and Evoked Potential Technologists (ABRET). Advanced training beyond high school in Electroneurodiagnostic (END) Technology (through an accredited technical college).
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
