NURSE PRACTITIONER - WOMEN'S CARE CENTER (OB/GYN)

NO WEEKENDS / NO CALL!!! JOIN US NOW as the Women’s Care Center is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner for its busy general OB/GYN practice. The Women's Care Center is part of the Department of OB/GYN at St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center, which has 3 divisions: general OB/GYN, advanced gynecologic surgery, and perinatology. There are 12 physicians, several mid-level providers, and residents who care for patients. The office practice (which is where the NP works) is located in the 500 building. The duties incude complete history and physical exams and preop clearance as well as bladder instillations and urodynamics. Heavy phone contact with patients from all over the country for pre and post operative consultations as well as complete history for pudenal neuralgia are also a large part of this job. Patient education skills are a must and an interest in research studies is necessary. REQUIREMENTS Educational Requirements: Master's in nursing Graduate of accredited program for nurse practitioners. Experience Requirements: Three years clinical experience in area of specialty. License/Registration/Certification: AZ RN license or RN License from a Compact State. Please refer to www.ncsbn.org for complete listing of Compact States. Registered in AZ as nurse practitioner. Hold and maintain national certification in NP area, under AZ regulations.
