WILL NEED THEIR  DEA LICENSURE AND Looking for a Nurse Practitioner or Physician's Assistant to work in Health Clinic attached to main hospital. Hours are Mon-Friday 1-9pm and Saturday from 8am-1pm. This person will be the primary healthcare provider. (makes own decisions etc)There is a staff physican at the hospital assigned to the clinic. Patient load is approximately 15-20 per day. Clinic staffers see patients for conditions such as strep throat, flu, minor injuries and urinary tract infections, but not emergency care. Patients requiring emergency care are referred to the ER department of Ashe County Memorial Hospital on the same grounds. Patients can receive any needed injections, and physicals will be provided for business, sports and commercial drivers' license.Duties of the Job:
1. Makes appropriate explanation to patients regarding procedures.
2. Monitors patient and physician satisfaction and follows through on needs identified through the monitoring process.
3. Maintains current basic medical knowledge.
4. Demonstrates competence and skill in the application of knowledge.
5. Performance of History and Physical Exam proficiently. Record review will show 95% or higher compliance with documentation proficiency.
6. Record keeping is accurate, complete and timely.
7. Keeps Rural Health Clinic Medical Director informed of unusual occurrences.
8. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills to provide care appropriate to the age and gender.
9. Treats patients and their families with respect and dignity.
10. Abide by policies and procedures of Ashe Memorial Hospital.
11. Ability to work other locations.
12. Assist with other duties as assigned.

Education/Qualifications:

 

 

 

Completion of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner ProgramLicense Required:Certified with National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants, Initial Certification and meet the regulations NC Board of Medical Examiners, or Certified Nurse Practitioner.Note: Compensation ranges from $75K-$100K D.O.E. Typically new hires are brought in at midpoint-$87,500. Do not screeen because of moneyThis hospital is located in the "highlands of N.C. in THE  area of the state where NC/Tn/Va come together.
