Mental Health Therapist I/II-CACII-Residential

Position Summary:

Mental Health Therapist to work with dual diagnosed mentally ill female consumers in a 90 day residential drug/alcohol treatment center in Denver.  

 

 

Essential Job FunctionsProvide psychological evaluations/problem identification, crisis interventions, and individual, group, and/or family therapy to assigned clients.

2.  Develop treatment plans; monitor treatment progress, and follow-up at disposition times.

3.  Assist clients with psychological development, social development, and rehabilitation.

4.  Coordinate client's use of other Corporation programs and outside community resources.

5.  Coordinate medication/medicinal needs of clients with medical sources.

6.  Maintain accurate and timely clinical records consistent with Corporation standards.

7.  Participate in team/corporate meetings, in-services, and supervisory sessions as required.

 

 

 

Job Requirements

Education:

Bachelor’s (MHT I) or Master’s (MHT II) Degree in psychology, social work, or other related human services degree. Min. CAC II

 

 

Experience:

One-year experience working with the chronically mentally ill. Female population preferred.

 

 

Skills:

Knowledge of methods of psychotherapy. Knowledge of community resources. Ability to assess crisis situations and intervene appropriately.. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work flexible and on-call hours which may be required.
