Medicare Sales Representative
Essence Healthcare is a physician owned plan that has been organized to operate as a Medicare Advantage Plan expanding in many new markets. Essence offers comprehensive benefits specifically designed to serve aging Medicare patients. We offer our members a simple way of achieving better healthcare. Essence is looking for Medicare Sales Representatives to cover our new markets.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION/POSITION GOAL: This position is responsible for the sale of the Essence Medicare+Advantage product to qualified Medicare beneficiaries throughout the approved service area. The Sales Representative must clearly and fully explaining the benefits and requirements of the Medicare+Advantage product so that member expectations are consistent with plan provisions. Must meet sales activities as designated. This position provides our supports service to internal/external customers.

II. SERVICE EXCELLENCE EXPECTATIONS: Demonstrates competencies in customer service and an understanding of service excellence.
III. EQUIPMENT: Utilizes and operates equipment and mechanical devices which provide for a functional, effective, and safe environment.
IV. JOB RELATED AND PROFESSIONAL GROWTH: Adheres to policies, procedures, and guidelines relative to state federal and departmental operations. Participation in specific activities for the promotion of self-growth or the enhancement of a positive image.
V. QUALITY: Applies the standards of practice/performance in the work setting to achieve positive outcomes
Minimum Qualifications: Must have 1-3 years of sales experience, preferably service sales. Preferred 2 years of post high school education. Current state Drivers License with a minimum of three years of driving experience. Must have an excellent driving record (no tickets or accidents for at least 3 years). Must have the ability to obtain and retain a Department of Insurance healthcare sales license. Must possess superior presentation skills and excellent human relation skills/interpersonal skills to deal effectively with seniors. Strong verbal and written communication skills, must be extremely forthright and yet persuasive. Computer literate. Time Management skills and ability to monitor efforts, adjust or reallocate resources on a regular basis. Ability to communicate sufficiently to perform duties in a manner consistent with departmental scope of services and standards.This position may require duties including lifting and carrying up to 40 pounds, pushing and pulling more than 60 pounds, and requires frequent standing. Must be able to work in an environment with multiple priorities. Must be able to negotiate a variety of private residential architectural barriers.
