University Services, a progressive sleep company in Philadelphia and New Jersey, is seeking a qualified Medical Secretary for our Center in Voorhees, NJ.

 

At University Services you will have the chance to work with a dedicated team of professionals including ABSM (American Board of Sleep Medicine) boarded medical directors and registered polysomnograph technologists in AASM (American Academy of Sleep Medicine) accredited centers and state-of-the-art facilities.

 

The Medical Secretary is responsible for overall front desk activities of the Voorhees Sleep Center while providing and maintaining quality patient care.  These activities include: 

 

·  Answering the phones in a friendly, courteous, and professional manner

·  Greeting patients

·  Transcribing and/or preparing correspondence, reports, and memos

·  Creating and maintaining patient files

·  Verifying patient insurance information and obtaining pre-certifications as required by health care insurers

·  Preparing weekly billing

·  Ordering and maintaining supplies

 

Qualified applicants will possess:

·  H.S. diploma or equivalent (GED)

·  At least 1-2 years related medical office experience

·  Current knowledge of medical terminology

·  Excellent computer, organizational, and interpersonal skills

·  Knowledge of computerized patient management systems
