Medical Records Technician - Community Mental Health

Mosaic Community Services, Inc., a Maryland leader in the community, Mental Health services industry, is seeking to fill a  Medical Records Technican opening within our Administrative department.

Duties:

Administrative support position providing assistance to Mosaic’s compliance, evaluation, and quality assurance activities. Under general supervision and following established policies and procedures, maintains the quality and efficiency of medical record services in the outpatient setting.  Interacts with multiple internal and external customers to insure medical records are accessible, complete, meet regulatory requirements, and organized for effective workflow. 

 

Requirements:

Work requires knowledge of records management, word processing experience, and general medical technical skills

normally acquired through a high school education and two years of college, technical school, or business school or

through an Accredited Record Technician (ART) certification.

 

Work requires approximately six months to one year of directly related medical records experience in order to develop comprehensive familiarity with medical records process.

 

Work requires travel between two administrative locations.  Must have a drivers's license with a current driving record with less than (3) points on it at the time of hire, as well as reliable transportation.
