An established Medical Office in the Oakland - Summit Hospital area has an immediate opening for an experienced Medical Records Associate.   Our offices provide patients with high quality, internal medicine evaluations for Applicant Attorneys, Defense Attorneys and Insurance Companies in association with the Worker's Compensation Industry. The currently available position in our Oakland office is a valued and vital part of providing excellent service to our clients. RESPONSIBILITIES  ·        Accurately and efficiently conduct medical record review and abstraction services – (Identify requests for further information per thecommunication from Attorneys and / or Insurance Companies; identify the parts of previous report(s) related to the requests; etc)  ·        Ability to sort quickly and accurately through large volumes of records  ·        Use critical thinking skills to identify and organize relevant patient data  ·        Acquire / Resolve medical records acquisition issues as needed to complete the Supplemental Report(s)  ·        Responsible for maintaining and tracking patient records   Requirements:  QUALIFICATIONS  •        Prior experience in the medical records field  - 2 year minimum    •        Proficient in Windows, Excel and Adobe           •        Must be accurate, concise and detail-oriented           •        Excellent verbal and written communication          •        Work independently and meet deadlines          •        High School Diploma, AA degree preferred          •        Excellent keyboarding skills- 50 wpm minimum          •        Must be professional, highly motivated and have good interpersonal skills  Benefits: Westaff's staffing associates enjoy the benefits of a flexible schedule as well as the support of professionals who can help launch and develop their careers.
