Medical Receptionist, Full-Time

Full-time medical receptionist position available with our busy Ophthalmology practice in Richmond Hill, Queens.  Minimum 1 year medical receptionist experience is required.  Duties include: answering phones, making appointments, scheduling surgeries, pulling charts, ensuring professional office appearance, collecting co-payments, deductibles, co-insurance, verifying insurances and dealing with HMO referrals.  The ability to also speak Spanish is helpful. Excellent spelling and grammar required.  You must pay attention to detail, be proactive, possess the ability to multi-task, and have good people skills.  The right candidate will anticipate the needs of the doctor.  You must be willing to follow instructions and handle being corrected if you make a mistake.  Insubordination, rudeness and refusal to follow instructions will not be tolerated.  Mon 9:30-5:30, Tues 10:30-5:30, Wed 9:30-1, Thurs 11:30-7:00, Fri 9:30-3:00, Sat 8:30-3:30.  Since this is a surgical practice you must be flexible to work other hours as needed. Green card or working papers required. NO ROOM FOR SLACKERS OR CLOCK WATCHERS!  DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR OURS APPLYING IF YOU ARE TOO LAZY TO WORK!! Previous work experience will be verified. Paid training is available only if you are able to successfully complete your 2 week training. The right candidate can count on a long future with our office. Reply to ad with your salary requirement.
