Primary Job Functions:Submits “Receipt for Docsâ€� for CA TAR’S and remove from TAR log daily.Reviews all incoming medical documentation for accuracy and HIPAA compliance.Submits request (E-TAR) for all Medi-Cal TAR’S.  Submits attachments to transmitted files. Submits request for all Medi-Cal affiliate TAR’S.Enters deferred TAR’S onto deferred TAR log if clinical information is needed and emails to nurse or locates requested information.  Re-submits deferred TAR to Medi-Cal or affiliate payer with additional documentation for processing.Removes completed deferrals from deferral log.Reviews status of pending TAR’S on Medi-Cal’s web site weekly.  Prints results and matches to pending initial request and forwards to biller(s). Checks status of billed claims on the Medi-Cal web weekly.Completes and submits TAR appeals.Updates and maintains the pending TAR log and Daily log using TIMS report: Confirmation Edit List for new orders on a daily basis. Posts TAR, APP and Deferral logs in public folders.Interfaces with nurse’s regarding questions via email and phone regarding TAR’S.Other tasks as assigned by Lead Medi-Cal Biller or Department Manager as needed.

 

Minimum Requirements:1-2 years general office experience preferably in the Healthcare industry. Must be detail oriented.Excellent organizational skills.Ability to multi task.Ability to work well under pressure and maintain professionalism at all times.Ability to analyze and resolve issues or problems that arise.Possess exceptional written and verbal communication skills.Ability to interface well with all levels of management.Be a team player and maintain a positive attitude.Must be proficient in computer applications including Excel, Outlook and Word.Knowledge of Internet Explorer and other internet applications.
