We are seeking a Medical Billing Quality Assurance Specialist for our Billing Center. Job Responsibilities: QA Specialists are responsible for auditing all intake paperwork entered in Rotech’s proprietary Medical Billing System prior to selecting the account to bill. Essential Responsibilities include: Sorting incoming patient paperwork. Verifying patient packets are complete, with all documents included. Reviewing and auditing forms for accuracy and completeness Enters, verifies and files information in the Maintenance Audit Report Verifies insurance information to ensure accuracy Ensures appropriate authorizations are included from Case Managers Corrects errors identified by Claims Supervisors 1-2 years experience in medical authorizations is preferred. Knowledge of insurance coverage and carrier requirements, including VA/Managed Care requirements when working with the VA/Managed Care billing center is required. Applicants should possess a high school diploma or GED, as well as strong verbal and written communication skills and familiarity with Microsoft applications (including, but not limited to Word and Excel. This role requires extensive computer use. General knowledge of internet navigation and research, e-mail, fax transmission, and copy equipment are essential.
