Medical Assistants Needed!
Located on The University of Maryland at Baltimore campus, near Camden Yards and Harbor attractions, University Physicians, Inc. (UPI) coordinates and supports the clinical activities of the University of Maryland School of Medicine. We employ over 900 non-physician staff who support the clinical practices of our faculty.
We offer a total compensation package including competitive base salary, employer paid pension, 403(b), comprehensive health and welfare benefits, tuition reimbursement, and commuter assistance. We are easily accessible by light rail and MTA.
Currently, we are recruiting the healthcare industry's finest Medical Assistants to perform a wide variety of patient care services for various practice areas.
Duties will include: assisting physicians and nursing staff in the care of patients assisting in performing ancillary testing/services for patients assisting with the monitoring of patient flow assisting with patient exams obtaining vital signs reviewing charts prior to delivering care providing clear patient education and instructions administering medications properly assisting with daily/weekly clinical duties (room stocking, cleaning, etc.) assisting in creating and filing medical recordsREQUIREMENTSQualified applicants will possess: H.S. Diploma or equivalent (GED) completion of an accredited Medical Assistant Program and certification 1 or more years medical assistant and medical office experience ability to perform all medical assisting responsibilities under state and faculty guidelines strong patient assessment skills excellent communication skills exceptional customer and patient service skills
