DESCRIPTION/OBJECTIVE
Marketing Research Analyst will contribute to the effectiveness of Beryl’s marketing activities by developing and reporting on the following: customer segment economics, product usage, marketing impact by customer segment, budget vs. actual spend, competitive performance, client research, and customer preferences.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following and other duties may be assigned.
• Compile, analyze and evaluate list performance from previous promotional efforts by type of product and promotion
• Meet with List Brokers to review and develop types of lists for use in Marketing initiatives
• Understand marketing plans and activities to be developed and create list requirements by working with marketing managers
• Research and report regularly around segmentation
• Research and identify other “customer” types beyond what has already been identified
• Research, develop and recommend audience and market opportunities be utilized with various marketing objectives
• Analyze files to determine customer profiles
• Select the lists to be used for promotional activities
• Coordinate list timing with marketing campaigns
• Work closely and communicate with marketing team to ensure developed lists are coordinated into other mailings for efficiency and cost optimization
• Research, evaluate and analyze information from merge/purge and coordinate parameters with team
BREADTH/SCOPE OF WORK
• Supports individual campaigns/activities
• Assists with programs or project related activity
• Assists with the performance of diversified, complex or technical work
• Prepares financial analysis and reports to include tracking and reconciliation with finance department
• Develops and maintains department databases
• Coordinates market research activity
• Supports policies and procedures
REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelor degree in marketing or related field
• 1-3 years of marketing experience
• Knowledge of marketing communications & planning
• Analytical experience and working knowledge of budgeting/financial models
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Knowledge and experience with the Internet
• Health care industry related experience desired
• Proficient in PC based applications (excel, access, powerpoint)
