Manager, Public Relations and Communication

The Manager of Public Relations and Communications will contribute to the development of the strategic initiatives of Presbyterian Communities and Services by  managing the differentiation of the PC&S brand through coordinated, proactive public/media relations planning and implementation.

 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Increase awareness of and preference for the PC&S brands through public relations/media relations planning and implementation and key message developmentCoordinate appropriate public relations for special events Generate, research, write, and distribute press releases and stories in support of each family brand Assist in writing speeches and presentations for senior leadership Maintain effective communication throughout PC&SDevelop entity newslettersMaintain and update website content

 

Skills and education:Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in journalism, public relations or mass communications. Two to five years experience preferred in public relations and/or media relations.  Not-for-profit and health care experience preferred.Self-starter, accomplished in public relations plan development and implementation, speech writing, issues management, crisis communication, frequent and successful media placements, brand promotion and management.
