Manager of Labor Relations
Extendicare Health Services, Inc. is looking for a Manager of Labor Relations who would either work out of our corporate office in Milwaukee, WI, our regional office in Pennsylvania or remotely.
Reporting to the Corporate Counsel, Labor/Employment, we currently have an opportunity for a Manager of Labor Relations to assist in the planning, design, implementation and administration of programs and policies for the labor relations function. Serve as Chief Company Spokesperson for collective bargaining.Conduct/coordinate management's response and activities in response to union organizing campaigns.Assist with the development and implementation of labor relations programs and policies.Provides consistent policy and contract interpretations.  Participates in activities to support negotiations, arbitrations, mediations, grievance settlements, union organizing attempts, and related labor relations activities.Consults with employee groups and businessess to determine the need for new or revised labor relations programs.Bachelor degree required. Masters in Industrial/Labor Relations and/or JD preferred. 3 - 5 years experience in negotiation/administering collective bargaining agreements. Must have served as Chief Company Spokesperson during labor negotiations.  Knowledge in all aspects of labor law as it applies to union and non-union environments.  Understanding of collective bargaining agreements and their affect on non-union employees, budgets, and long term planning.
