Manager, Provider Contracting/Relations

Job Description:POSITION SUMMARY This position will be primarily responsible for day-to-day management of physician recruiting team. GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES * Manage and direct statewide network development projects * Apply specialized project management methods, along with project management skills to define project scope, plans, schedules, and documentation * Translate generalized customer business goals and objectives into concrete strategies and tactical plans * Manage project success from beginning to end; provide resource management and accountability for cross-functional resources * Develop for resources plans and perform resource leveling and utilization analyses * * Manage to assure quality project deliverables that conform to PMO standards * Exercise judgment within broadly defined policies and practices in developing corporate methods, techniques * Assist interdepartmental resources to maintain an updated provider database and new physician contracts * Represents XLHealth externally, delivering professional and polished image by phone and in person regularly to educate and establish working relationships * Facilitates the distribution of provider agreements as directed by Business Development * Implements, in collaboration with Business Development provider relations programs to facilitate effective provider communications and satisfaction * Interacts with affiliated departments to ensure closure of paperwork flow. * Implements local strategic plans and works with associates to effectively influence providers, provider affairs, and service centers to ensure retention and positive negotiations that will meet or exceed network targets. * Performs other duties as assigned REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE * Bachelor's degree required, masters preferred. * At least 2 to 3 years of previous experience in provider relations within a Medicare managed care setting, health plan or large medical group administration is required * Experience in sales and/or marketing and call center is preferred * One year provider relations or provider contracting experience preferred. REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES * Experience with disease management programs preferred. * Excellent administrative, analytical, organizational, verbal and written communication and presentation skills are required * Proficiency with MS Office Suite is required * Pleasant phone demeanor and possess excellent customer service skills are required * Professional image and behavior are required * Ability to work with others while completing multiple tasks simultaneously and successfully is required.
