Manager, Operational Accounting

Job Description:Position Summary: The Manager, Operational Accounting, will be responsible for assisting the Director, Operational accounting in managing all operational accounting functions of billing, revenue and membership accounting, broker commissions, accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll. Incumbent must have leadership experience as well as experience in managing data intensive projects and reconciliations, vendor management, process workflows, and the day-to-day functions of an accounting department. Essential Functions: * Manages the day-to-day functions of certain areas of the Operational Accounting Department. * Assists in leading operational accounting teams and driving business best practices. * Works on automating operational accounting processes by assisting in the initiatives to roll out new, more efficient, quality controlled processes. * Performs accounting specific reconciliations on information being fed to the Finance group by other groups within the organization. * Assists Director in improving organizational effectiveness with a particular emphasis on accounting processes and cost control. * Provides business, analytical, work performance, and strategic guidance to assigned vendor, accounting/finance and/or other department team members. Required Education and Experience: * CPA certification required * Bachelor's Degree in Accounting preferred * Minimum 5 years experience in Accounting/Finance management positions Required Knowledge, Abilities and Skills: * Must have strong management and interpersonal skills * Demonstrates ability to motivate, influence and gain commitment from staff * Must possess a high level of understanding of data and systems * Seeking a Metrics/Deadline driven and results oriented individual * Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills * Ability to work efficiently in a fast paced environment * Advanced to Expert in Microsoft Office Suite We are proud to be an EEO/AA employer M/F/D/V.
