Imagine Yourself
Maintains an optimal level of productivity by coordinating an efficient staffing pattern for all departments within the clinic: nursing, radiology, lab, billing, medical records, registration, etc.
Plans, organizes, coordinates, controls, evaluates, and directs the nursing practice and clinic operations. Remains current in, and communicates and promotes new approaches and concepts in nursing practices and clinic operations. Ensures the provision of high quality, efficient patient care.
Responsible for development and enforcement of written policies and procedures specifying the scope and contact of patient care rendered by the department. Reviews and approves all policies/procedures for compliance with those of the Medical Center, nursing department, and regulatory agencies. Maintains and reviews job descriptions as required by the Aurora Compensation Department. Communicates and enforces hospital administrative and personnel policies.
In collaboration with the Director of Academic Business & Community Services, develops, implements, and evaluates applicable business/marketing plan(s) for primary care services. Makes recommendations for changes as appropriate.
In conjunction with the Marketing Department, oversees formal advertising and other types of community contacts (newspaper articles, public speaking, health fairs, etc.) for Academic Clinics.
With the appropriate Associate Chair and the Executive Director/Director, participates in physician recruitment and retention efforts.
Assists the Medical Director as liaison with the University of Wisconsin Academic Department.
Prepares and consistently monitors financially sound operating and capital budgets within established guidelines.
Identifies the need for market research and, based on results, recommends and develops new programs and/or enhances existing programs to meet the needs of the community. Maintains knowledge of industry and market trends and recommends and develops new programs in response.
This position is responsible for adhering to established Service Standards and for reinforcing service standards with all employees.

General Qualifications
Knowledge of health care administration, business administration or other related field, equivalent to that which would be acquired by completing a regionally accredited bachelor's degree program.

Knowledge, skills and abilities required to perform this job are typically acquired through a minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience in a health care facility that includes experiences and knowledge of medical practice and clinic management, clinic operational structure systems and clinic policies, procedures and processes. Leadership experience should include management of staff and budgets at the Manager level.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Excellent public relations skills.

The ability to successfully and positively interact with physicians is essential.

Desired Qualifications
Minimum of 3 years of physician clinic or healthcare department leadership experience.
