Joslin Diabetes Center is seeking Major Gifts Officers to join its growing Development department.

 

Joslin’s Major Gifts Officer will:Manage a portfolio of 125-150 prospects with the potential to give $50,000 or more to support diabetes research and education.Share his/her experience in Major Gifts while participating in departmental strategy setting.Implement bold initiatives and accomplish double digit increases over the next 3-5 years.Manage volunteers at the highest level of an organization. 

Ideal candidate will possess:5-7 years experience with demonstrated success in soliciting $50,000+ major and/or planned gifts.A high level of entrepreneurship, including attention to detail and a focus on matching donors’ objectives to the needs of the institution.Proven ability to take risks.Excellent strategic and negotiation skills to work successfully with prospects as well as Joslin's physicians and researchers.
