Job Description: Overall cleaning and maintenance of patient rooms, including dusting, vacuuming, sanitizing and replenishment of soap, paper products, etc. Coverage staff for Maintenance 'C' workers. Primary Duties and Responsibilities 1. Dusts high surfaces (above shoulder height). 2. Cleans and sanitizes bathrooms, and restores dispensers with soap and paper products. 3. Removes trash, relines trash containers, and cleans receptacles if required. 4. Dusts mops and damp mops floors in patients rooms. Vacuums, damp mops and shampoos carpeted floors including corridors. 5. Covers for Maintenance C employees when necessary in the cleaning of offices, the day room and ancillary areas. 6. Cleans rooms upon patient discharge. 7. Stocks patient room with other items such as hospital literature, towels, admission kits and other related items. Stocks floor deliveries in the proper storage areas. 8. Empties needle boxes. 9. Replaces soiled draperies. 10. Cleans patient refrigeratorsMinimum Required Education None Preferred Education High School/GED Minimum Required Experience 0-1 year Preferred Experience 1-2 years
