69-08 MRI Tech JobID: 69-08 Category: Radiology Position Type: Full Time (40hr) Schedule: Mon - Fri and e/o weekend with holiday rotation Position Details Position Summary: Under the direction of the Radiology Director an MRI technologist is responsible for performing high quality MRI images, delivering age appropriate patient care contributing to the efficient operation of the MRI division of the radiology department. Functions as the first line interface with customers in the successful accomplishment of their imaging needs. Participates in CQI activities. General Responsibilities: 1. Responsible for the care and safety of patients undergoing treatment and use of equipment to minimize hazards of electric shock, burns and extraneous exposure to patients. 2. Positions and images patient according to established protocol. 3. Able to assess patient pain interfering with MRI procedure - makes appropriate physician contact for intervention. 4. Performs all aspects of patient care in an environment that optimizes patient safety and reduces the likelihood of medical/health care errors. 5. Communicates and documents adverse occurrences to the Radiology Director. 6. Ensures MRI exams are archived to the PACS server, completely and efficiently. 7. Ensures that all tasks are performed in a confidential manner. Expediting the confidential, secure, and accurate delivery of patient information and documents. 8. Completes all work before clocking out and leaving. 9. Performs all quality control checks, as prescribed. 10. Maintains accurate QC logs, service records, etc. 11. Performs highest quality imaging consistent with prescribed examination; documents any deviation. Requirements: ARRT and/or CRT certification as well as applicable state licensing; MRI cert preferred, certified according to ACR, BLS required. Contact Information To apply, please Click Here
