MEDICAL OFFICE FRONT DESK

 

Ensure appointments are scheduled, patients are greeted and handled in a manner which supports the mission of the practice and information is obtained in a timely and accurate manner which results in happy patients and profitability for the practice.

 Ensure the front desk is prepared and staffed in a manner which results in patients being greeted and processed in a timely, pleasant, and accurate manner at all times.

 Perform Office Opening and Closing duties including:

A. Unforward the telephone from the Answering Service in the mornings and after lunch, in a timely manner.

B. Retrieve and distribute messages accurately and timely.

C.  Ensure the telephone is forwarded to the Answering Service during the lunch hour and at 4:30pm.

 Pull patient charts for injections and work-in appointments for each doctor each day in a timely matter.

 Greet and register patients according to their arrival time, in a timely manner immediately upon their arrival.

 Ensure that the end-of-day cash, checks, and credit cards are balanced and paperwork is completed in a timely and accurate manner.

 Verify Patient Health Insurance for denied claims.

 Assist Triage Nurse with all pre-certs for all procedures.

 Pull patient charts for Triage Nurse, in a timely and accurate manner.

 Assist the Office Manager in duties including data entry and report preparation.

Follow all HIPPA rules, regulations and guidelines at all times.
