MEDICAL ASSISTANT

Responsible for facilitating examination and treatment of patients in assigned clinics. Contributes to patient care by preparing patient for clinic visit, performing limited procedures, scheduling diagnostic tests or consults, maintaining patient clinical records, organizing clinic/exam rooms, maintaining supply/equipment inventory, and/or assisting physicians, other medical staff, nurses, other interdisciplinary team members and support staff.
Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant Program (Associate, Diploma or Certificate) required. Minimum of two (2) years work experience in an outpatient setting preferred. CPR required within 3 months of employment. Ability to use office equipment including computer, printer, fax machine and telephone. Ability to perform simple procedures. Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people under stressful conditions. Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize properly. Good problem solving skills Commitment to excellent customer service and communication skills.
