Having the autonomy to make decisions and collaborate with a provider on patient issues, gathering necessary information from the patient/family member, checking vital signs, and providing basic instruction for the patient regarding routine procedures, treatments, or disease processes. The successful applicant would also be organizing and preparing exam rooms and work areas, assisting the provider with exams and procedures, administering medications, and complete and document minor routine maintenance, cleaning, sterilizing and care of equipment.

General Qualifications
Current status as State of Wisconsin Licensed Practical Nurse, or successful completion of medical assistant program.One year of nursing experience with previous clinic experience preferred.Must be CPR certified according to American Heart Association standards within six months of hire date and renewed as necessary.Verbal and written communication skills sufficient for effective communication.
