Lawson Application Analyst - Web
CATHOLIC HEALTH EAST is a multi-institutional Catholic health system, which is co-sponsored by 12 religious congregations, and Hope Ministries, a Public Juridic Person within Catholic Health East. Based in Newtown Square, Pennsylvania, the System provides the means to ensure the continuation of the Catholic identity and operational strength of the sponsors' health ministries, which are located within 11 eastern states from Maine to Florida.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Lawson Web Developer works under the general supervision of the Lawson Application Development Manager. The Web Developer works collaboratively with the development team to make sure that the information delivery needs of the CHE system office and its Regional Health Corporations (RHC’s) are accommodated under the standards resulting from the operating model design, standardization and implementation effort of the Lawson Portal and Process Flow tool.
The Web Developer is responsible for assisting in the overall information delivery via Lawson from both a business and technical perspective. These solutions are designed for the CHE Corporate and RHC facilities to take into consideration existing and future requirements. The Web Developer will have overall responsibility for developing and maintaining all information delivery solutions via the Portal and Process Flow from the Lawson system and will collaborate with the Development Manager to accomplish this objective. The position will work closely with each Lawson functional area to meet their information delivery needs, with an emphasis on quality and accuracy. PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES
§ Responsible for overall information delivery solutions via the Portal and Process Flow from both a business and technical perspective.
§ Responsible for the specifications, design, development, and maintaining of Lawson information delivery solutions.
§ Satisfies information delivery needs quickly and accurately.
§ Works closely with the development team in the analysis, design, and implementation planning of the technical/business information delivery solution from standardization and design through the implementation of CHE Corporate and all RHC’s.
§ Documents and maintains information delivery solutions created and being used for Lawson.
§ Works with development team in the analysis of new and existing information delivery solutions, and develops requirements for long-term direction.
§ Ensures the technical integrity and quality of the solution(s).
§ Attends applicable Lawson education classes
§ Assists with software testing scope and approach, assists with test data and scripts, participates in test execution, documentation of results and retesting as needed.
§ Ensures effective communication within and between assigned departments
§ Identifies, encourages and documents departmental process and procedural changes
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
Education
§ An Undergraduate Degree in Computer Science or Information Systems, or relevant work experience
Experience
§ At least 3 years of web-based application development & analysis in an ERP environment.
§ Knowledge of the Lawson Process Flow tool is a plus.
§ Experience in a multi-company or multi-facility system implementation or upgrade is preferred.
§ General knowledge of Healthcare operations and an understanding of Healthcare specific terminology.
Skills
§ Strong understanding of Java and Javascript
§ Process Flow in Lawson 8.0.3 and/or LSF 9
§ Application Development and Analysis focused on information access/delivery in a financial and/or Human Resources environment
§ Experience with a multi-company or multi-facility system
§ Experience documenting functional requirements using a structured methodology.
§ Experience in software test design, script development, test execution and documentation.
§ Experience in version control, maintenance and upgrade.
§ Polished interpersonal skills to communicate tactfully, effectively and with discretion within all levels of management.
§ Acute attention to detail and accuracy. Must have the ability to develop and maintain adult education oriented documentation, issues and problems concurrently.
§ Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff and RHC’s to exchange information, ideas and answer inquiries.
§ Ability to work independently, retain flexibility and maintain composure under pressure. Proven experience in maintaining project schedules, documentation, communications, and meeting deadlines.
§ Ability to utilize Microsoft Office Suite, desk-top publishing tools, e-mail, Project Management tools, PCs, printer, facsimile and other office machines as needed.
§ Possess personal and professional values consistent with those of CHE and its sponsors.
§ Strong problem solving skills, and the ability to manage the implementation and support of applications over the health system.
