South Shore Hospital is currently recruiting for the following full-time positions in our state of the art Laboratory:

 

Hematology Supervisor: Under the general direction of the Director, and in conjunction with the Technical (Pathologist) Director and Chief of Pathology, is responsible for the supervision of the Hematology section of the Laboratory. All duties will be performed in accordance with established policies, procedures and standards, and will comply with criteria mandated by appropriate accrediting and licensing agencies.

Baccalaureate degree in relevant sciences such as Medical Technology, Biology or Chemistry preferred.  A minimum of five (5) years laboratory experience and one (1) year of supervisory experience required.  MT (ASCP or equivalent) certification required.

 

Off-Shift (Generalist) Supervisor: Under the general direction of the Manager of Blood Bank & Support Services and in conjunction with the Director of Laboratory Services, and in accordance with established policies, standards and testing procedures, is responsible for operation of laboratory on evening and night shifts.

Baccalaureate Degree in relevant science such as Medical Technology, Biology or Chemistry, with Medical Technologist certification (ASCP or equivalent) preferred.  MLT (ASCP) with previous supervisory/generalist experience may be considered.  Minimum of five (5) years laboratory experience and one (1) year supervisory experience preferred
