Laboratory Manager

The Northern Ohio American Red Cross Blood Services is seeking two highly skilled and qualified individuals to fill the positions of Hematology Laboratory Manager and Laboratory Services Manager. 

 

The Hematology Laboratory Manager is responsible for all aspects of operations and assumes responsibility for all lab supervisory staff, budgets, hiring, training, environment, and work processes.  The position includes oversight of hematology testing, quality control monitoring, compliance with all regulatory requirements, and serves as a resource for complex technical issues.  Requirements include:  Bachelor’s degree in science, or equivalent experience, with MT (ASCP) certifications or equivalent preferred.  Experience in hematology testing required.  A minimum of 5 years laboratory experience including 2 years supervisory experience required.

 

The Laboratory Services Manager is responsible for all aspects of production operations and assumes responsibility for all lab supervisory staff, budgets, hiring, training, environment, and work processes.  The position includes oversight of production planning, ensuring achievement of production goals, compliance with all regulatory requirements, and serves as a resource for complex technical issues.  Requirements include:  Bachelor’s degree in science, or equivalent experience, with MT (ASCP) certifications or equivalent preferred.  A minimum of 5 years laboratory experience including 2 years supervisory experience required. Good communication and computer skills required.
