Laboratory Assistant Technical

Job Description ACL Laboratories Building on a 40 year tradition, ACL Laboratories is a joint venture between Aurora Health Care in eastern Wisconsin and Advocate Health Care in northern Illinois. Combined in 1997, ACL now serves 22 hospitals and over 80 ambulatory clinics, as well as a large independent client base. Our clinical laboratory settings offer a wide variety of employment opportunities within the lab, and are based out of geographical locations that range from large metropolitan cities to rural settings. Utilizing state of the art technology, ACL performs tests in all the standard disciplines, as well as industrial toxicology (heavy metals), forensic toxicology (drug testing), cytogenetics, molecular, and immunology. ACL is a growing and progressive endeavor offering rewarding positions within a quality laboratory environment.

Imagine yourself... Performing limited testing, and reporting results according to protocol; and/or cutting surgical tissues for Pathologist diagnosis.Assisting technical staff with pre-analytical tasks in the departments.
Assisting with complex specimen handling, and performing functions of detailed specimen processing.

General Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
One-year of related experience, or equivalent education/training.
Medical terminology and typing skills preferred.
