Description:
Responsible primarily for clerical functions related to laboratory test clarification, test order, registration and reporting of results. May be required to consult with physician's office staff for clarification of diagnosis codes, use of MSP and ABN processes. Coordination of test requests received to ensure patient phlebotomy frequency is minimized.
Requirements:
Requires at least one year experience as a laboratory assistant, phlebotomy or laboratory clerk, preferably in a hospital laboratory setting; and must be familiar with use of LIS.
