LOGISTICS COORDINATOR II
SUMMARY OF POSITION:Hours 11:00 AM - 7:30 pmResponsible for the support of Operations’ activities to include planning, coordinating and distributing work for the DC. Provide feedback regarding performance to schedule. Create reports and analyze data to identify trends and variances. Act as a liaison between warehouse, Operations Management, corporate contacts and transportation carriers. Knowledgeable in all assigned production activities to ensure systems operate smoothly and with minimal interruptions. Conduct audits on all operational functions including paperwork. This position will strive towards continuous processes improvements to include paperwork flow between warehouse and various offices.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:1. Print and segregate pick tickets for domestic and international shipments, inbound paperwork (TRs, POs), preparation of export documents etc. as required. Control the workflow within the DC by distributing work to the warehouse floor ensuring a consistent flow of operations. Ensure that work is distributed fairly and consistently.2. Able to perform work in assigned area (ex. unload, picking, checking, processing, etc.) to better understand operational processes and how they affect/impact other functions.3. Conduct regular audits for accuracy and integrity in areas to include, but not limited to FIFO, housekeeping, RF guns, fork lift checklists, pick accuracy, label placement and pallet accuracy in International loads, unitized orders and random reports.4. Maintain warehouse productivity reports for operational areas. Able to research, correct and eliminate productivity reporting errors. Understand and provide feedback concerning production standards. Ensure that data is communicated to management in a timely fashion to properly administer corrective action.5. Maintain timesheets and attendance reports for hourly employees. 6. Prepare shipping documentation for truck loads.7. Assist inventory department in the evaluation of product and pick location velocity and trends to improve picking efficiency and accuracy. Verify and process documentation related to returned merchandise. 8. Transact and plan 2nd shift operations, including EDI transactions, completion of activity planner, load manifest, and load condition sheets. Able to react promptly in a fast pace environment. 9. Able to answer questions regarding the transaction of product, shipments, product issues, and other warehouse related inquiries. 10. Communicate any potential service failures to appropriate staff members.11. Research and investigate operational problems. Make recommendations to resolve.12. Knowledgeable in all relevant computer applications including Microsoft Office, JD Edwards, IMREX, KRONOS, etc. Able to work with and create complex formulas in Excel to provide useful data trends to management. 13. Create and maintain reports for all operational areas. PO Variance Report, PO Log, Discrepancy report, Scrap and Reject report, metrics and error reports for the Receiving department. Daily Inbound Report, etc.14. Able to troubleshoot RF Guns to expedite efficiencies in this area.15. Able to think independently and review current processes to strive for better results.16. Understand and apply various International policies and procedures that apply to every country. Maintain regular communication with Export Planners, carriers and forwarders to ensure accuracy with all shipments. Take pictures of international loads and maintain records for tracking purposes. 17. Communicate with carriers regularly to ensure good condition and availability of equipment for outbounds. Schedule live unloads and communicate with vendors for inbounds. 18. Able to identify, follow up and resolve discrepancies with receiving merchandise.19. Participate in team meetings to create process improvement20. Communicate with the IS Department for the resolution of computer and equipment related problems.21. Ensure customer shipping documents contain accurate information before leaving premises.22. Insure paperwork for inbound materials is properly arrived and received in a timely manner to avoid late loads. Requirements: Education required/ preferred: Bachelor’s degree and similar work experience.Experience: Distribution or operation experience in inventory management. Preferred Skills/Qualifications: Good written and verbal communication skills.
