ANESTHESIA RECRUITER POSITION DESCRIPTION:

 

The primary function for the anesthesia recruiter is to seek out, interview and screen applicants to fill existing and future clinical anesthesia opportunities nationwide and to gain complete expertise in the recruiting software  Secondary functions will include managing pre-existing anesthesia, anesthesiologist and CRNA recruiter database and expand it in terms of the number of anesthesia providers (CRNA, anesthesiologists, and other anesthesia providers) and the breadth and depth of information on each anesthesiologist and CRNA and for the recruiter to record this into the recruiting software. The recruiter is expected to attend and exhibit at anesthesia and CRNA conferences and seminars for the purposes of  building a relevant anesthesia database to augment recruiting efforts.  This and other recruiter efforts (direct mail, cold calls, placement of advertisements, etc) will help promote fulfillment of permanent and Locum Tenen job orders. The recruiter should demonstrate flexibility to travel up to 25 to 40% on some weeks. Any additional support for the recruiter may be required by the VP of Client Development.

 

ANESTHESIA RECRUITER RESPONSIBILITIES / TASKS:

 The anesthesia recruiter will establish and maintain communication with VP of Business Development, VP of Clinical Affairs and other company personnel to stay abreast of current and future potential clinical anesthesia openings that may need to be filled. This includes attending “company morning report” in person whenever possible, and by teleconference when the recruiter is traveling.   The anesthesia recruiter will master and stay aware of revisions to the recruitment software, including attending training seminars as well as become familiar with other relevant software packages that may assist in job fulfillment. The anesthesia recruiter will, in collaboration with Client Development personnel, price anesthesia and CRNA positions and develop anesthesia job and opportunity descriptions, to be provided to and discussed with potential anesthesia and CRNA candidates and serve as a resource for marketing efforts. The anesthesia recruiter will bwill, develop, maintain and continuously re-develop anesthesia database for all available potential anesthesia candidates nationwide by leveraging internal and external anesthesia referrals, direct mail, newspaper/journal advertisements, web-based efforts, attending relevant conferences, cold-calling and more investigative search efforts.  All of these deliverables must be modified, renewed, and placed in a highly accurate fashion with tear sheets acquired, checked for accuracy and placed in the relevant recruiting book. The anesthesia recruiter will ddeve lop creative ways to maintain relationships between Somnia and anesthesia or CRNA candidates within recruiting database. The anesthesia recruiter will pperform timely searches for qualified anesthesia candidates according to relevant job criteria, using company anesthesia databases and, when necessary, external staffing agencies to assemble a potential candidate list of anesthesiologists and CRNA.   The anesthesia recruiter will screen aall potential anesthesia candidates through perusal of CV, completion of “ Anesthesia Screening Questionnaire” and verification of credentials. An anesthesia candidate profile summary sheet prepared and updated for each anesthesia position.  Refer screened candidates to VP of Client Development and/or VP of Clinical Affairs and schedule these anesthesia candidates for telephone and in-person interviews. Assist with contracting and, for contracted hires, collaborate with Credentialing Department to ensure that appropriate documentation is received in the office in a timely manner on all new anesthesia hires.   The anesthesia recruiter will address anesthesia provider planned and unplanned coverage needs at current facilities The anesthesia recruiter will eestablish and maintain relationships with staffing agencies and company clients The anesthesia recruiter will pperform other tasks and projects as may be required

 

 

SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS AND OTHER JOB REQUIREMENTS FOR THE ANESTHESIA RECRUITER:Pre-existing database of anesthesiologists and CRNA as well as relevant healthcare facilities highly useful. Intermediate skills in Word, Excel, and at least one CRM or recruiting program.   2-5 years experience in the Healthcare and/or anesthesia field preferred Strong organizational, follow-up and documentation skills Strong analytical skills Strong interpersonal & communication skills (both written and verbal)
