Jr. Reimbursement Analyst
I. Summary of ResponsibilitiesUnder general supervision, completed third-party reimbursement reporting requirements, monthly and year-end reporting and related duties. II. Nature and Scope (Essential Duties of the Job)1. Prepares Medicare/Medi-Cal cost reports and annual OSHPD reports.2. Acts as a liaison between the facility and fiscal intermediaries for annual audits, reimbursement, and quarterly reports.3. Assists in preparing contractual allowances for monthly and year-end financial reports.4. Assists in the review of audit adjustment, re-openings and appeals.5. Monitors reimbursement regulation changes and estimates the effect on the facility’s reimbursement.6. Gathers and analyzes statistics for cost report and Office of Statewide Health Planning and Development report purposes.7. Performs other financial and statistical analysis relating to third party reimbursement as required. III. Qualifications1. Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance. 2. Selected individual to have working knowledge and experience preparing annual reports as required by Medicare, Medi-Cal and state disclosure reports.3. A minimum of 2 years experience in healthcare finance necessary. Fiscal intermediary or healthcare reimbursement knowledge preferred.4. Solid analytical, communication, and computer skills. Ability to research complex reimbursement issues and good priority management skills are required.5. Working knowledge of PC software (Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)6.
