Invasive Specialist for Large Health Network

Description:  JPS Health Network is seeking an Invasive Specialist for our Cardiac Cath Lab in our flagship facility John Peter Smith Hospital.  The position is Pool/PRN flexible shifts as needed.  The qualified candidate will perform functions prior to, during and following diagnostic and interventional procedures performed in the cardiac cath lab.  The technician shall be clinically and technically competent to assist in all diagnostic and interventional procedures,including monitoring patients during procedures and panning of the table.The Invasive Specialist will assist in the duties that are necessary to provide quality patient care and the success of the non-invasive cardiac diagnostic department.

 

Requirements:  High school diploma or equivalent required.  Documentation of two years cardiac cath lab experience preferred.  Demonstration of proficiency in EKG interpretation and hemodynamic pressure monitoring prior to hire.  Graduation of accredited school in specialized field of cardiovascular technician, EMT, respiratory therapy, or radiology required.  Registry/certification in chosen field to be obtained within 12 months of hire.  BLS certification required.  ACLS certification obtained within 6 months of hire.
