We work with independent insurance Brokers who sell employee benefit products to businesses nationwide. At BenefitMall, we view ourselves as an extension of each Broker's support team. We provide Brokers with local market expertise, product price quotes, client proposals, enrollment support and ongoing client services.  The Accountant I will be responsible for journal entries, reconciliation, and bank deposits. This position prepares daily cash receipts and broker commissions, ensuring compliance with BenefitMall policies and procedures. Responsibilites:The Accountant I will be responsible for journal entries, reconciliation, and bank deposits. This position prepares daily cash receipts and broker commissions, ensuring compliance with BenefitMall policies and procedures.· Responsible for the cash receipts and broker commission’s functions.· Retrieves, decrypts and formats carrier payment detail files and enters cash receipts.· Analyze and resolve cash application rejections.· Prepare audit schedules and provide analysis for cash reconciliation schedules on a monthly basis’.· Identifies missing carrier payments and forwards to Collections.· Prepares and reviews cash receipt percentages.· Uploads cash receipts journal entries.· Requests all missing carrier payment detail statements.· Add new case information when needed.· Responds to broker and/or carrier inquiries.· Performs monthly reconciliations.· Distributes mail and processes broker levy notices.· Assists with new acquisitions.· Recommends process improvement measures as identified.Actively participates in meetings, providing input to contribute to the overall success in achieving high departmental standard and goals.Requirements:· Bachelor degree preferred and/or three (3) years of related work experience.· Experience with computerized accounting systems.· Good Knowledge of accounting concepts, procedures and practices.· Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Excel, Word, and Outlook Exchange.· Read and analyze complex job related documents and financial reports.· Resolve complex administrative and financial issues.· Communicate effectively with all levels of internal and external personnel, both verbally and in writing.· Develop and maintain good work relationships.· Provide leadership and promote cooperation in a team environment.· Manage multiple tasks simultaneously. BenefitMall Offers:Excellent Health BenefitsDental VisionMatching 401K planLife Insurance 9 Company Paid HolidaysPaid Time off Plan EOEPLEASE APPLY ONLINE: commissions accountant, reconciliation, journal entries, accounting
