Intake Nurse

Job Description Intake Services Department at Aurora Psychiatric Hospital offers easy access to information regarding the hospital's clinical programs and admission procedures when admission into one of our programs is necessary. The staff is comprised of highly trained clinical professionals, skilled in matching the patient's needs with the appropriate resources, either in the hospital or in the community. Intake and Admission Services are available 24 hours per day.

Working with intake crisis team to conduct initial assessments and facilitate entry into Psychiatric services for those seeking assistance.

Triaging calls

Assessing patients

Obtaining authorization

Communicating with physicians and clinicians

General Qualifications
Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.

Current Wisconsin Registered Nursing license

Minimum two years experience in behavioral health care environment

Experience in clinical assessment, crisis intervention, and working with mental health and chemical dependent patients

Desired Qualifications
Good communication skills and ability to work with others

excellent written and oral communication and problem solving skills
