In the Information Security Analyst role you will provide technical and administrative support for the Information Technology Security and Compliance organization. Identify, schedule, and perform assigned technical Information Security analysis functions to ensure all information security and regulatory requirements are met.

JOB SUMMARY: Assist in developing and maintaining an integrated program to protect the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of Baylor College of Medicine information resources. The primary responsibilities of this position include information support of college business, clinical, and research information systems, enterprise identity management, account directory, password management, and audit systems, and security incident investigations; assisting in the development of assigned security initiatives; and developing knowledge of security technologies, issues, and direction.

DUTIES:
*Actively maintain and administer the Enterprise Identity Management System(s).
*Actively maintain and administer Password (Self-service) Management System.
*Manage and maintain account LDAP Directory System(s).
*Manage and maintain Windows and Active Directory Audit System(s).
*Manage and maintain Enterprise Firewalls.
*Manage and maintain Network Intrusion Detection / Prevention System(s).
*Manage Application Security Load Balancers/Content Switches.
*Provide guidance and assistance to IT professionals and users relative to information security best practices and regulatory compliance.
*Participate in user account and role management discussions.
*Monitor security events and alerts; initiate incident response actions.
*Administer account and system vulnerability assessments.
*Perform risk analysis and assessment for enterprise application systems.
*Respond to and investigate security incidents including appropriate forensic analysis.
*Assist in forensics laboratory operations and management.
*Perform host and network security tasks.
*Develop information security procedures and guidelines.
*Work as part of the Information Technology Security and Compliance team, under the direction of the management team, to address the team's objectives and priorities.
*Effectively manage time and assigned tasks to ensure that objectives and deadlines are met.

Required: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Management or related field, or equivalent education and directly related experience.

Required: Four to six years of progressive experience in data & voice networks security, including experience with Internet technology and security issues.
Preferred: Hospital or Healthcare experience
*Proficient in Sun Directory Server (LDAP)
*Proficient in Active Directory (Users and Groups)
*Experience in LDAP schema and object class design
*Proficient in Sun Identity Manager
*Experience in Sun Access Manager
*Experience with M-Tech/Hitachi P-Synch
*Experience in Role Based Access Management (RBAC)
*Proficient in Perl, Visual Basic, or Java programming
*Experience in NetIQ Security Manager / Change Guardian
*Experience with Checkpoint technologies
*Experience with F5 technologies
*Experience with Microsoft Windows Active Directory
*Experience with Unix/Linux based Operating Systems
*Excellent customer service skills
