Information Data Architect

Monday-Friday Shift: 1 General Responsibilities: MoneyGram International (MGI) has an exciting opportunity for an Information Architect located at the Global Headquarters in St. Louis Park, MN. This position is responsible for "architecting" how the corporation will use its data, information, and, in the future, its knowledge. Documents and socializes long-term strategic view of Information Architecture across the enterprise. Advises Data Analysts on individual projects to ensure that data design is compatible with data strategy and with overall technical and business strategy. Specific responsibilities include -Interact with management, business, enterprise architects and technical departments to gather and analyze strategic data requirements. Socialize information architecture strategy and principles throughout the organization, in particular with key business and BT/IT stakeholders -Design logical framework for data stores and data warehouse; define data integration between enterprise systems and how our operational data stores are to interact with our reporting and data warehouse systems -Architect how data and information are shared with outside business partners and customers -Create and maintain conceptual and logical data models to support current and proposed systems across the enterprise -Ensure that new business requirements are addressed by the strategic data architecture -Provide strategic guidelines and direction for the Data Analysts Skills and Experience Required: -All positions require the ability to model the Corporate Values of Respect, Courage, Passion, Teamwork and Integrity -All positions require core competencies of communication, leadership, ability to drive change, innovative outlook and problem analysis -Education: BA/BS -Years of Experience: 7-10 -Demonstrated strong skills and experience in oral, written, and interpersonal communication (required) -Demonstrated leadership and coordination skills across departments and levels within the organization (required) -Demonstrated ability to initiate and drive change (required) -Experience and knowledge of logical data modeling techniques (required) -Experience working with business staff to determine data-related requirements (required) -Experience working with data modeling tool such as Erwin or PowerDesigner (required) -Experience working in a relational database environment such as Oracle (required) -Demonstrated aptitude for performing technical analysis and problem solving (required) -Demonstrated ability to manage activities on multiple, simultaneous projects and to organize complex environments (required) -Schedule Overtime Required : none planned. Occasional Overtime required as project demands and schedules dictate.
