Implementation Analyst

The Implementation Analyst is responsible for assisting with the successful implementations of a web-based AP & Dermatology Lab Information System (Pathway). This person functions as part of a team of implementation specialists. Representative duties may include setting up the user defined system parameters, training laboratory staff on new system functionality and helping to achieve successful implementations. Primary duties and responsibilities: Develop and maintain relationships with lab personnel during project implementations. Document existing lab workflow and assess existing gaps between lab needs and LIS software functionality. Plan and conduct LIS functional and process training for end users. Identify obstacles to success and take independent action to resolve problems where possible throughout each implementation. Maintain quality and time metrics for the project. Escalate issues to Implementation Project Lead or Implementation Manager when appropriate. Assist with the creation of training materials and training programs. Participate in the effective transition of completed implementations to support resources. Follow implementation standards, and perform other tasks as assigned. Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: 3 - 5 years experience in software implementations. 2 years experience gathering, documenting or validating requirements in an IT software development environment. Multi-tasking and excellent technical communication skills. Effective presentation and speaking skills. Proven track record with successful projects involving complex implementations. Ability to work after-hours and weekend support on an as-needed basis. Heavy periods of travel, up to 80% is required. Experience with Anatomic Pathology or Dermatology lab process is preferred.
