Title: IS Technical Trainer
General Summary: Responsible for creating, using, updating, and monitoring systems and associated materials supporting Information Services application installation projects utilizing rigorous and comprehensive design processes. Also responsible for training classes with a high level of knowledge, skill and ability, resulting in high trainee satisfaction and ability to apply new knowledge in their work environment. Exemplifies the corporate mission, vision and values and acts in accordance with policies and procedures.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
• Provide facilitation expertise for interactive, activity-driven courses
• Co-facilitate with content matter instructors to ensure learning and a cohesive program
• Manage classroom and participants to achieve outcomes
• Lead activities in a collaborative manner
• Coach and give feedback to participants
• Remain flexible and adjust activities and content to meet participant profiles
• Provide input for modifications to course content and activities
• Assist in defining and developing future courses
• Assist in marketing training classes
• Assist in development, sourcing, and facilitation of courses
• Coordinate class schedules, registration and other aspects of training as necessary
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in adult education, instructional design, healthcare (e.g. nursing) or related field, or very strong healthcare experience, minimum three years. 3-4 years facilitating courses.
• Superior facilitation, presentation, and organization skills
• Superior classroom management
• Superior ability to learn and use computer applications and classroom technology
• Teaching concepts and principles to support a business process or lifecycle
• Clear, concise writing
• Collaborative, team-oriented, and able to work well with all employees at all levels
• Proactive, self-driven, and able to work well in an unstructured environment while meeting all deadlines
• Ability and desire to work with very detailed information
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Knowledge and proven application of adult learning principles
• Experience with hospital-based clinical systems desired
