Human Resources Representative

In addition, more robust healthcare information technology products and services for our customers.Specialty Laboratories is one of the largest esoteric medical laboratories in the United States. Since 1975 the company has enjoyed solid growth through scientific innovation and superior service. Located in Valencia California, in a new custom designed 200,000 square foot facility.Within the Valencia facility are a wide variety of clinical laboratories, conducting a wide variety of assays. Among the specialty areas are Molecular Biology, Cellular Immunology, Tissue Culture, Flow Cytometry, Molecular Genetics, Cytogenetics, Microbiology, and Chemistry. The site also hosts a Clinical Trials Department and a Research & Development Group.Supporting the clinical lab is a large Client Services Department, Accounts Receivable & Billing and the Information Technology department. Smaller administrative groups including Materials, Facilities, Human Resources and Finance are also located in the facility.
We currently have a career opportunity in our Human ResourcesDepartment for a motivated self-starter who can work independently andis able to multi-task. To be a good fit for this opportunity you will have 2-3 years of experience in Human Resources.
Essential duties and responsibilities include:
- Maintain confidential records andinformation including oversight of personal and confidential/benefits files fororganization.- Input employee data from various formsinto Peoplesoft system -- data integrity key.- Answer routine employee inquiresregarding policies, benefits etc.- Become Peoplesoft"Super-User" and liasion to Corporate HRIS and other business units.- Participate on national Peoplesoft UserNetwork calls and participate on relevant projects/teams.- Support HR Department with technicalknowledge and data reporting abilities.- Generates various HRIS reports, bothongoing and ad-hoc.- Demonstrates strong customer servicefor employees and collaboration with HR team.- Review and sort all documents foraccuracy, completion and compliance.- Assist Supervisor with special projectsand may assume leadership over various HR functions as assigned (e.g. AAP, NEOetc.)
- HS Diploma, AA or BS Preferred.
- 2-3 years HR experience required.
- Peoplesoft, or similar, HRIS experience required asis a strong working knowledge of MS Office.
