Walgreens promotes and supports a drug-free and smoke-free workplace.Essential Skills:The Employee Relations Specialist will be based in Walgreens Corporate Headquarters, located in a northern suburban town, Deerfield, Illinois. The specialist will be responsible for assuring that company human resources policies and practices are in compliance with federal, state, and local laws and that management is complying with company polices and practices. Under direction of an attorney, candidate will provide guidance to management and employees regarding employment and labor matters, assuring legal compliance and respond to charges of discrimination. Candidate will also respond to employee concerns received via telephone, open door letter or employee hotlines. Position will also require visiting distributions, call centers and mail order facilities to support company's open door policy.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in a related field; Knowledge of HR and employee relations; Mediation experience highly desirable; Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Strong interpersonal and presentation skills; Must possess strong organizational skills; Ability to prioritize and balance workload to meet deadlines; Ability to work independently with high level of accuracy; Maintains confidentiality as required; Demonstrates sound business and professional ethics; Strong analytical skills. Must possess strong computer skills. 2-4 years ER experience.
